Both are in the Denver area. Schnitzer Adjustable Front Swaybar (32 mm?) and lowering springs (all 4) for the 318ti or would work on the Z3. They lower the car about 0.5-0.75" from the stock M-Tech spring height. Look sweet but we wanted a little more elevation. They were on the car when we bought it so I don't know how many miles they have on them, still in good condition. $100, can probably figure out shipping if necessary, the sway bar will be trickier then the springs obviously. Would break up the set if have interest. Stock front brake calipers for '98 318ti Sport. These use the vented rotors instead of the solid ones found on earlier cars (like my '97). Could be a nice upgrade without any real modification. Should be in good condition and working but no guarantees. Came to me freely so they are free to a good home in the Denver area, no shipping on these. Can provide pics if requested. Thanks for looking, Paul | Paul - I'm in Centennial, would be interested in checking out the stuff you've got. Am I correct in assuming that the brakes you've got are basically the same as what I'd get if I were upgrading to the 325/328 vented rotor/brake setup? Do you have the carrier brackets as well? Might also be interested in the swaybar too, but can't make use of the springs as we're going with coilovers on all 4 corners suitable for rally duty. Thanks! I need to go to my storage unit to get them and this has been a busy week. Dave- Springs will work with the stock setup, no need to change to rear coilovers. You might want to go to a shorter shock body (like the Bilstein Sports) bit it might not be necessary. They were great to drive (would have been better with some nice Konis) but were a little low for our tastes. The callipers are the 318 callipers not the 328, but they work with the vented 318 rotors. I don't remember the diameters but I thought the 328 rotors were bigger as well as being vented. They include the caliper, carrier, hoses, and some nasty old pads. You'll need mounting bolts and rotors to install. PM me and we'll swap info, my schedule is pretty open. Paul | The car is being built as a rally car, so its going to see jumping and dirt roads, so street/track type suspension won't work. I've made lots of modifications to the chassis, including cutting out the spring perches on the back of the car, replacing the stock rear shock mounts with new ones, mounted higher in the chassis. Next is to cut the OEM front shock towers out and replace with new ones mounted higher up. OEM shock length just doesn't allow for enough travel. I've got a whole build thread going here so you can see what a mess I've gotten myself into, LOL: http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28728 I'll try to do some more digging on the brakes to determine what is what. PM on the way. Thanks! Dave | | | 09-09-2010, 05:44 PM | #8 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Golden CO Posts: 16 | Oh, I see what you are saying. I was thinking you thought these needed coil overs, you were saying you have coil overs. Got it. Gotta have stuff crazy overbuilt to be able to survive. Just realized I forgot to ask if you happen to have the carrier brackets too, or if you just have the calipers? Springs now priced at $40 since the bar is gone. Pics as promised. Thanks Monkfish, nice CS ti. Paul | | | 10-24-2010, 07:00 PM | #14 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Golden CO Posts: 16 | One more item. Racing Dynamics front strut brace. My brother bought it and ran it for less then a year before going to Koni's, he likes being able to play with the shock settings so he said the front brace should go. List is $230, asking $100. As always prefer local sale but this one should be pretty easy to ship. Can take pics if needed but it pretty much looks like you would expect. I still have the strut brace for sale, up for offers as I want it gone before I move. Really nice addition to the ti or a sedan (if you happen to cross body-style lines ). Picture attached.
