Default Tire options

ok, i finally narrowed it down to a few choices for my next set of tires:

1. Hankook H405 - 235/40

2. Hankook K102 - 225/45

3. Hankook K104 - 215/45

4. Falcon Ziex 512 - 225/45

As you can tell, i'm leaning toward the Hankook because u just can't beat there prices.

I'm still undecided as to the sizing though. I want the largest contact patch possible to the 235/40 is my first choice. How would the steering response be between the 215's and the 235's up front?

I also heard though that there may be large weight differences between those different sized tires. is that true?

would the 215/45's be the lightest?

PLEASE HELP!!!

same here, 225/50R16 for summer tires. contact patch is also dictated by tread pattern, so sheer width isn't determinative. a wider tire will be more subject to tramlining as well.

i run kumho asx's, cost about $400 (incl install and nitrogen fill) total, and i'm very happy with them.

I need some new tires. I'm still running the stock 15's until I upgrade. I need a good street/light track tire. Suggestions?

I just installed Dunlop Sport 8000 235/45/17 tires. Waiting to see how good they are.
