I think I am going to wait until after we buy a house first. I am still keeping an eye out, just in case our Blazer kicks the bucket. __________________ No trunk for the Junk | | | 01-23-2008, 02:48 PM | #7 | doesn't care about you. Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Denver, CO Posts: 3,925 | Did you drive the 3.0? I've heard the 2.5 is a little weak compared to the 3.0. We've been test driving x3s, trying to decide if we're ready for an SUV but have been told by several people to get the 3.0. Either way, congrats on the new purchase. The price is right on the x3s now that they are coming off of lease. Is it CPO? __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 01-23-2008, 03:24 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boston, MA Posts: 1,152 | Hey Tony, congrats on the X3! Good to hear that you still got the ti. Now you can take us around in it at the next meet. | | | 01-23-2008, 03:42 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | true, the 2.5 and 3.0 are different animals. the only real noticeable difference is when trying to pass on the highway. i'd love to have one too...albeit an X5! the 4.4 sounds nice and has plenty of power. ronnie, that's what i was thinking too...lol __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 01-23-2008, 04:30 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | it would be a 2 door x2 with a little lower car a more slanted rear hatch and possibly it may aquire a cali roof depending on the ti's blood stream. but it would be all wheel drive too! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 01-23-2008, 07:01 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Weymouth, MA Posts: 215 | Thanks for the congrats Dusten what is is CPO? I had a choice between 2.5L and 3.0L and I picked the 2.5L Better gas mileage, better motor design little less power (39 HP). Mainly my wife will drive it and I dont think she'd need the extra power. The car is running very smooth and the power is satistfactory for the size of the car. The suspension is very stiff and the ride is a little bumpy but the handling is amazing. It doesn't feel like SUV at all, it's like you drive a regular 3 series BMW. You feel the car sticked to the road - pure BMW! __________________ '96 BMW 318ti Hellrod 5SPD - SOLD '04 BMW X3 2.5L Alpine White PRM PKG Automatic/Steptronic PRM PKG - SOLD '01 BMW M3 6SPD Imola Red Luxury PKG '11 BMW X5 xdrive35d - 3.0L Twin-Turbo Diesel - The Ultimate Oil Burner | | | 01-23-2008, 07:27 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by tol4o Dusten what is is CPO? | Certified Pre Owned. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 01-23-2008, 07:44 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Weymouth, MA Posts: 215 | I got it at auction - BMW financial remarketing service There were more than 200 all kind of BMWs, most of them were of lease The one that I got was from a personal owner - traded car The car is still under BMW factory warranty (4 years or 50 000 miles) I have an appointment tomorrow at the closest BMW dealer for a regular maintenance, brakes, oil change, air filter etc. - all this for free __________________ '96 BMW 318ti Hellrod 5SPD - SOLD '04 BMW X3 2.5L Alpine White PRM PKG Automatic/Steptronic PRM PKG - SOLD '01 BMW M3 6SPD Imola Red Luxury PKG '11 BMW X5 xdrive35d - 3.0L Twin-Turbo Diesel - The Ultimate Oil Burner | | | 01-24-2008, 04:32 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Quote: Originally Posted by thesk8nmidget it would be a 2 door x2 with a little lower car a more slanted rear hatch and possibly it may aquire a cali roof depending on the ti's blood stream. but it would be all wheel drive too! | lol i knew you'd have a sick little half-breed design in mind....thanks bro!
