I'd like to find an original black one so that I don't have to mess with getting it painted. I don't need the whole mirror. Just the outside plastic shell. 1998 318ti, black, passenger side, R side mirror cover cap | | | 09-27-2011, 02:39 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | I have one.... I don't know how to get it off either... I've seen pictures... it has a few flat tabs that snap into a metal body underneath. I'll PM my address info. When you are ready just give me the amount and I'll paypal it to you. | | | 09-28-2011, 01:15 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | pop the mirror glass out then undo the 4 screws that hold the front section on, that should allow you to get to the tabs that hold it from the back. if you just pull it off you'll break the tabs | | | 09-28-2011, 01:26 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | OK, cool. Already have the glass out and remember seeing the screws... __________________ No more ti. | | | 09-28-2011, 02:45 AM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: San Francisco Posts: 12 | hey, I can't seem to figure out how to send a private message to you through this site. | | | 09-28-2011, 09:03 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Need 5 posts IIRC... I got it apart, was 5 screws and some cursing... post your zip and I can get a shipping price. Wow, 101 different zips for LA.... looks like about 6-7 bucks for shipping priority mail, which I prefer. __________________ No more ti.
