Default Bavarian Autosport Coil Over Kit **SOLD**

***SOLD*** 06/30/2011 Thanks to everyone that asked about them!

I will shortly have for sale a Bavarian Autosport Coilover kit for sale.

The kit was for a Z3 4 cylinder car as far as I know and works GREAT on our 1998 Msport but it is my Wife's DD and is a bit too low for her (Although I'm fine with it).

Sometimes you just have to say "Your Wish is My Command..."

So H&Rs with Bilstein's are the new plan.

Here are photos of how it sits. I painted the strut housings yellow before I put them on the car.

Looking to get $485 for the set and a bit of shipping depending on where they go.

She only complained about the height... So I am not asking about the ride and I am hopeful they won't be too much different than now.

Thanks for looking out for me though.

Those are the stock staggered setup from our 1997 E36 M3 sedan.

17x8.5 ET41 245/40 rear and 17x7.5 ET41 225/45 fronts

Almost no rubs with this setup.

When I bolted up a set of BBS RX 17x8 ET38, they needed a 5mm spacer to clear the coilover on the front.

I just bought a set of Koni SA front struts that may need service so I am probably about 2 weeks out on removing the setup.

If she is only complaining about the height, can't you raise the coilovers?????

Thanks for the suggestion.

Only the front are adjustable so it would only help in the front.

Bimmer world or one of them sells the spring jacks for the rear, otherwise ground control sells a sleeve and collar setup to lift/adjust the rear.

Rogue Engineering may be the vendor as well.

How is the ride on this setup? I'm thinking of going with BavAuto coilovers on my ti which is also my DD/roadtrip car but I've heard mixed reviews on ride quality.

The Bav Auto parts are more firm than the OEM suspension on my E36 M3 Sedan and less firm than my Son's Dinan Stage 2 suspension (which I find too stiff for a DD but at 20, he is more tolerant and it looks cool)...

If I used a metaphor of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears, the Bav Auto might fit in the "just right" bowl.

I hope that helps.

The replacement Koni sports are in the shipping que so the coilovers may be available as early as next weekend. Have a couple of guys interested but no money has changed hands yet.
