I knew this blonde who got a dent in her car and took it in to the repair shop. The repairman, noticing that the woman was a blonde, decided to have a wee bit of fun.
So he told her all she had to do was take it home and blow in the tailpipe until the dent popped itself out.
After 15 minutes of this, the blonde's blonde friend came over and asked what she was doing.

"I'm trying to pop out this dent, but it's not really working."

"Duh. You have to roll up the windows first!"
Have u tried this yet?

I tried blowing into my tailpipe for a half hour... but no luck... could I be doing something wrong?

Hah-

The car doesn't run. I put it in gear and the rear wheel is just clicking clicking... BUT the axle is moving. I'll need a lower control arm, because I can see it has a kink in it, on top of many other things.

I have to see the police report to make a decision on what I'm going to do with this mess. If it's the lady's fault, it will be totaled and more than likely I'll take the money and part out the car. If it's mine or no fault... well... then I'll be putting some elbow grease into it. If it's determined that the car is useless, or it's going to take thousands to fix... then I'm going to part it out regardless and look into another one.

So it's up in the air until Tuesday when the police report is available. Isn't that ridiculous? Tuesday for a Thursday accident. *&^#*$@ lazy government workers.

Quick question...

Being that the car may not get fixed... How much do you think I would get if I parted out the whole car?

I mean, everything but the damaged area is in excellent shape.

One more thing!

What's the easiest way to find BMW salvage yards near me.

I did a search on google, but it just keeps pulling up ads and stuff.

Zip code 07057 North Jersey.

Wow you guys rock, thanks for all the help.

I AM DEFINITELY interested in your trailing arm. Not sure about the crossmember.

I'll get back to you on Tuesday when I get the police Report.

Thanks again!

I took a closer look today, but still didn't take anything apart.
I put the car in gear, and when it's jacked up with no wheels on it, I can get the axles to move, but I know for a fact that the Halfshaft is broken because it's grinding painfully.

Also, the trailing arm is kinked at the weld in red below.

I'm guessing that's one whole piece when purchased???

Either way, I'm looking to buy those parts as a start.
I need to get this car on the road so I can go to school and work.

If anyone has them available, or if you have suggestions on other stuff that may be broken, send me a message or email me. jeffreyhollis[at]comcast[dot]net

Thanks a million.

PS: I also need a rim, no tire necessary.
