Default OMG, i think i blew something!

man so i am driving about to shift from 1st to 2nd then i start to feel it.....

next thing i know my car sounds like it has no muffler.
n it could just be me but it felt like i lost a lil compression......like my power went down a bit.

i am prayin its not a head gasket n its just a gasket from the exhaust or sumtin!
pray for me!

Probably just an exhuast issue. I don't think engines run very well without them due to the loss is backpressure.

Slow down and post more comprehensible sentences please. Could be that I've been staring at Thermo for the last 4 hours

It does sound like the exhaust, and I'd guess the added noise is making it sound like you should be going faster than you really should be.

97....club sport

also i was thinking this might be a good time to upgrade a lil.

any recommendations on brands of cat converters n mufflers and where i can purchase them. i see ANSA and Bosal when i search for parts but havent seen any other brands like magnaflow. i dont have much money to put into it but i still want good performance so i nice balance between cost n perfomance would good.

i see now it that it looks like the exhaust system is in three parts.
exhaust manifold, cat converter and muffler. is this correct?

Yes, it is three pieces. You could just replace the midpipe and be fine most likely. Was it rusting there and broke or does it look like pressure built up and it broke?

Also, clubsports were only made in 1995.

well, i am gonna say a lil bit from column A and a lil bit from column B. lol,

naw, i am gonna assume it was the rusting but u present me with something else to check for. during initial inspection it looks like rust but i havent jacked it up to take a closer look either so there is that possibility.

and i didnt know club sports were only made in 95'. someone told me mine was a club sport. either that i kinda got that from when i was looking up tires for it. if u look at tirerack.com they have two options, the OE 15" rims or clubsport 16" rims. since i have the 16" rims i thought i had a clubsport. either way, i do know i have the m-tech package.

I have my exhaust listed at 150$+shipping. If your exhaust is not rotted through, go to a muffler shop and have new hardware installed.

(begin sarcasm)
I'm pretty sure that this question has never been asked here before, and it's surely never been answered. So, there's obviously no point in SEARCHing the site.
(end sarcasm)

ooooh, i luv the sarcasm....

thankz for all the help guys. i was able to find a shop to weld it back together for $95.

sounds much better.

however with all the research i probably will upgrade that with in a year.....with a magnaflow high cat and a remus exhaust......but that is a good 800+ easy. so not right now. i got a couple other immediate projects i need to do on it first.

ie.
drivers side window
passenger door lock
air bag light is on

i just hope this list doesnt get any longer anytime soon.....lol.
