I am sure just about everyone has been there at some point in their lives. I definatly understand where you are coming from though, I once dated a girl with a psycho ex-finacee. Nothing like coming out of a resturant and finding her truck with four flats and a not a single piece of unbroken glass.
He never did anything to me, or had anything to say to her when she was with me, but the stress was a killer. I actually had to break it off with her because of the stress.

thanks again everyone, im not letting it bother me too much. I actually have been asked out by a lot of great guys and I went on my first official date with a good friend. So happens he is an ex-friend of my ex boyfriend whom he hates. But for once I actually got treated out and I had a lot of fun, and not where I had to pay for myself or him. Something I wasnt used to at all. I have a whole new world out there, oh yeah and I can actually start going to meets without feeling guilty about it. though I missed out on all the ones I wanted to go to. But now I can really concentrate on school (which will be a biatch this semester). You'll both be healthier, happier individuals in the long run, assuming you'll both break the cycle of how you choose your partners. Also, as a side note and without placing any specific judgements, dating his ex-friend may be a passive-aggressive way (unless doing purposely) to enable your ex's behavior and keep the conflict alive.
Some general advice is to set a guideline to only date people outside of your normal comfort zone for a while and avoid dating people you already know during this period. This may help to prevent falling into the same cycle of behavior and put some needed distance and time between the last and next long-term relationship. you had a weird one. i think everyones had a weird one if they choose to look objectively at it. its hard to find the "perfect partner" and bad / easy habits creap in if you let them. anyway, the next relationship will be a vast improvement on this one as you know now what u dont want or won´t accept. to be honest, in the grand scheme of things its all lame, and time passes by faster than u think  get on with your life girl, and if he hassles you just give us boys a shout :P __________________

umm. . . like others have said, this thread is kinda old. . . I mean, doesn't anyone remember in December, bmwracerchick asking for advice for xmas presents for her current bf? My boyfriend now is the one that used to be his ex best friend, as strange and twisted and mean as that sounds its the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.
