Since boost will be coming to a 318ti near me, Looking around in the car today I was trying to find places where i could put my gauges but the only place that looks like it'll work is the ole aftermarket a-pillar pod but i'm trying to avoid it in favor for something more stock-like and cleaner. I'll be fitting 3-4 gauges. AFR, boost, oil temp and pressure. Anyone have any suggestions, pics? thanks in advance! | | | 02-18-2011, 12:37 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | | | | 02-18-2011, 02:01 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Monterey, CA Posts: 770 | | | | 02-20-2011, 02:31 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Orange County, CA Posts: 2,019 | Quote: Originally Posted by dahamler | now how is this gonna work if the Ti doesn't have a regular e36 center console? | | | 02-20-2011, 02:44 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Oxford, Ohio Posts: 868 | Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb now how is this gonna work if the Ti doesn't have a regular e36 center console? | It works in any car that has a DIN radio slot. So in your case, it only will work if you remove your radio. | | | 02-20-2011, 02:59 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Orange County, CA Posts: 2,019 | maybe he wants to listen to the tunes | | | 02-20-2011, 05:05 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | I went this route http://318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22723 Still only have 1 gauge in it, and still never finished it to make it smooth, but it looks good and is functional __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. I have a very short shifter (m-roady + very short Momo knob) so nothing is blocked that I know of, but I have only used the left space as of now. I would have gone A-pillar if it was boost/AFR which are more important to monitor, but a quick glance down every once in a while tells me the temp. __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. Though i really don't want to it lets me see everything which won't look too bad with the stock-like VDO vision gauges i plan to use.. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
