Hi Everyone My gas gauge is reading crazy, it works but is inaccurate. Does the sender get replaced by going in through the trunk and pulling out? How complex is the project? The fuel gauge sender is in the white rectangle. __________________ 1996 Ti 280k miles and still going.... 1993 964 - holding on to this one 2001 Burban, 240k miles 2018 Suburban Z71 Last edited by bazar01; 07-10-2017 at 01:43 PM. | | | 07-25-2014, 03:29 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | Before you replace the fuel pump/sender, you might try adding a can of Techtron fuel treatment to your next tank of gas. I read that advice in a Mike Miller column in Bimmerworld. My wife's Z-3 gauge was bouncing all over the place and the additive fixed it pretty quickly.
