I then proceeded to wash and wax my car(2-3 hr spring time style) and then i tried to start up the car again. This time it didnt want to catch, it was turning over, but not starting. I looked underneath, and saw a leak of some fluid by the tranny, so i got a paper towel to see what color. Clear. and scentless, so i'm supposing that it's just water from when i was washing the car, I finally got it to start, and ran it about 40 miles. I stopped, turned it off, and it kinda wanted to not start again. I have no dash lights on, and i was wondering if you all have any opinions about what could be up. | | | 03-28-2006, 11:50 PM | #2 | doesn't care about you. If it's cranking then it's either a spark / fuel problem. Try giving it a bit of gas too. If that fixes the problem, it's carbon deposits. A nice "spirited" drive or some highway miles should clear that up enough. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 03-29-2006, 01:08 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Philly, PA Posts: 189 | I had a similar problem like two months ago, the same symptoms, it ended up being the starter solenoid, (hope I spelled it right) I I ordered one from parts train for $175.00 and installed it and it was not a good fit. I drove the car with it for 5 days wile I had the OE starter rebuilt for $75.00 at a Philadelphia local place. I re inserted the OE starter and all my problems are gone. | | | 03-29-2006, 04:01 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | A bad starter solenoid won't crank the starter at all. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 03-29-2006, 04:51 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | Hey, we both agree on something........
