Default X-tec 6000K HID pics

For the people who are interested in upgrading to HID, here are some pics of the X-tec 6000K kit from Umnitza.com. They are matched with DDE lightning 'plus'.

Those look really nice in 6000k. My ZKW DDE Plus Projectors are supposed to show up tomorrow with Osram Silverstar bulbs. I was thinking about getting the Xtec kit in 5000k as it is supposed to cut through the rain better, and here in Seattle we get enough rain to make that worthwhile I think.

I am just not sure if the brightness difference from the Projectors to HID is going to be worth the money...

I am also anxious to see how good the the Silverstar bulbs and DDE Plus match, and then how well they go with the Fogs. I don't care if they are slightly different colors, but if they are very different colors I am going to need to change some things around.

I will post some pics over the weekend showing what they look like.

Cheers,
Gadget

hehe....I know all about rain living here in Vancouver! I chose 6000K purely for the fact that they match up with the DDE's a bit better than 5000K. Before switching to HID's i ran various differnt bulbs in my ellipsoids but i always found light output to be pretty poor, plus they did not match the DDEs very well. However, with the HIDs the light output/visibility has increased probably by about 3X that of the regular halogens. I have a feeling that you will most likely be itching to upgrade after a couple of months as well! Umnitza sells them for $280 shipped...Not a bad price.
