I always felt that BMW NA has always treated the Compact as some bastard stepchild. They never really promoted it. The dealers made little money on them.

What they don't realize is most people who bought a Compact stuck with the marque. That may have been their marketing all along.

I agree. This is my first bimmer and I cannot be more shocked at my experience. I bought it sort of on a whim because of the cali roof and great condition. I've kept it because of bimmer enthusiasts like you guys (and that cali roof- woo hoo!). :P Compact people are different than normal BMW drivers. We drive the underdog. The grunt. And we seem to love it. Hell, it's easy to buy a high milage M3 and cruise around impress people. Be different- go ti!

This now ends the preaching to the choir segment of our show. You may resume modifying your cars now. ;}

Little Rock, AR - possibly soon to be Toledo, Ohio.

There are two other guys from the central AR area as well. . . They don't post on here that much, though.

I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah. I can't remember seeing ANY ti's around here. There are tons of other BMW's here though.
