I understand the reason and it makes sense to me. I just think there's bound to be a more efficient way of monitoring for fake accounts. The site supporter idea isn't bad.

The reason new accounts should be blocked from voting is that it is easy and tempting for highly "motivated" contestants to register new accounts to circumvent the one vote per member rule, and vote their photo up and others down.

That's pathetic if someone would do something like that.
