You know you a drive a 318ti when...
  • You park 1 feet away from the curb, and your still fully inside the parking spot.
  • You can remove the door panel and oil the plasitic guider on the regulator in less than 60 seconds.
  • You show off to your friends that you can lock the door, roll up the windows, AND close the sunroof with your key.
  • your friend spends an hour looking around your car, then finally asking,"How do you roll down the windows?"
  • you think going 35mph on a turn is normal.
  • you get all worked up when you see another fellow 318ti.
  • You find reasons to modify something.
  • You constantly search on Craigslist for a 318ti, even though you have no intentions of buying one.

Feel free to add to the list

-When people have a surprised look on their face when you open the hatch
-When you order 2 door corner lights instead of 4 door

I doubt that your car being a 318ti makes getting flamed at bf.c any more likely. There are MANY things that cause people to get flamed there.

actually yes, I've seen people get flamed solely on the fact that they drive a ti, I'm guessing just because it's a 4-cyl. hatchback, and, most importantly, NOT an M3

I've been hassled over there for owning a Ti before, but it's usually from guys that drive 325's and 328's. I rarely even post over there anymore because of it. It does seem like more and more people are starting to give in to the Ti though. Perhaps they're finally realizing that e36 coupes and sedans come a dime a dozen, yes even the M3's

Really? Yall get hassled over there? I get the opposite reaction. I haven't posted my car or anything. But they're pretty kind towards me. But then again, I don't post as often as I do here.

You find yourself leaving notes on car windshields in parking lots with "318ti.org" on them.

BTW, no one here ever fessed up to owning the Alpine ti in the Vallejo, CA Costco parking lot. It even had the .org stickers... Whose car is it?

I spotted a parked ti the other day on my way to work. Figured it was someone that worked at the bank because I've seen it there 3 times now. I've seen the person walk to the car. And honestly, she doesn't look very enthused, considering the red ti looks like the only wash it ever receives is from rain. I'll leave a note next time and hope she gets a change of heart. Very unlikely though =\

There is a curve near my mothers house where they say the maximum safe speed is 25 mph; my ti handles it with no problems whatsoever at 45 - 50 mph.
