What weight numbers have you guys gotten down to? We are looking to really put our ChumpTI on a diet and so far even including the cage we think we have about 100-150lbs out of the car. I am trying to see what is possible.

My car started its diet this weekend - car is a base model with cloth seats. I took out basically everything behind the driver. I'll continue slow progress towards full track prep, but don't expect speedy progress.

Weights listed below in pounds.

Spare tire: 30
Jack and tools: 6.25
Hatch trim: 9.75
Hatch floor: 10.75
Back seat: 48.5
Rear seat belts: 5.5
Floor mats (all 4): 6.5
Rear interior panels: 7.5
Rear speakers and panels: 3.5
Rear wiper asm: 3.5

Total: 131.75

*Rear 500kg (1100lb)

I'm thinking about having the spare tire well cut out of my car to make the floor completely flat.

I'm on the fence on that. I still drive my car on the street, and the well gives a good place to keep my bag from sliding around on the way to work. It would also be a convenient place to relocate the battery for weight balancing. I suspect that it will have to go to make room for a diffuser if/when it comes time for aero on my car.

I would expect maybe 4-5 pounds of savings, depending on what covers the hole - aluminum or even plastic?

I'm planning on having it filled in with steel so it can be welded in. If I do a fuel-cell it may make it easier to install too.

Check realoem under the Euro 323ti trunk floor. You can (or at least could) order panels to run the battery in the rear.
