Yes it would be ok but all the new oil you put in that circulates through it will come out dirtier than it would if it's new. I personally wouldn't leave it in there more than 2 days.

Do you have the right tool to get off the oil filter? I bought mine from bavauto.com and it worked a hell of alot better than the one i bought at autozone.

Try wrapping a rag around it, then twisting it off. Try to wait until its cool, if you can't get it off when its cool, run the car for like 3 minutes and try it.

It can be done without a tool, I don't ever use a tool because there isn't enough room to use the tool with the supercharger on.

Best idea ever! I'll pick up some epoxy tonight and do it while the charger is off. Thanks.

Go to the nearest parts store they sell the oil filter wrenches there for like 7-8 bucks.

BTW even running your oil through a used filter will age it 50% by the time the engine warms up.

Verified with an oil analisys a few years back....

LOL a strap wrench isn't a ratchet strap... A strap wrench is a like an oil filter wrench except instead of a metal ring theres just a loop of nylon strap. Just make sure that when you put it back on you don't over-torque it, as long as you continue to change your oil at regular intervals you should be able to get it off with your hands from now on.
