K its done this twice now and im getting worried!! Whilst reversing slowly out of a space last night, wheels on full lock as i reversed left and clunk, clunk...First time it just clunked once but last night was at least twice...
Sounds like I ran over a rabbit or something!! (I even checked and no dead bunny!!)

were you at full lock or close to it each time you heard the noise? is the tire possibly catching on a damaged wheel tub? what kind of "clunk" is it? __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles

I've never really looked at the parking brake cables but there is the chance that water is getting in there and freezing, effectively leaving it on. Are they the stock parking brake shoes? __________________

update...its almost full lock, yup to stock brakes at the mo, also did it again last night and it seems to be from front left wheel..... seems to make the whole car jump abit when it does it....im sure its not the brakes now, poss wheel bearing or buggered cv but the cv's all look good from the outside... | | | | |
