Default adjustment on 96 ti serpentine belt
Hi everyone I am replacing my belt on my 96 ti but i dont know how to loosen the tensioner pulley so i cant get the belt on there anyone who has done this please help me .

the tensioner pulley has a plastic cap over the nut, use a flat-head to remove it then use a big ratchet set to tighten to loosen the tensioner

when i do that it just loosen the tensioner itself not the tensioner on the belt

so it's just loosening the nut? maybe try setting it to loosen, I can't remember if the bolt is reverse threaded or not
