Default new cat converter or old cat converter

I just purchased a supersprint exhaust. My know it all next door neighbor is debating with me saying that i should buy a new cat. I told him its not gonna make any difference considering the exhaust isnt realy gonna do much. plus the stock cat is like brand new. I just need a little closure on this so he could read this and shut his mouth for once.

There is absolutely no reason to replace a catalytic converter that is working just fine. Unless, that is, you cut the whole thing off and put in a test pipe.

As for the muffler not doing much, your right. It will sound better, maybe have a little better throttle response, and gain a hp or two.

Enjoy it!
