Pedal Inserts

I bought a set of used AC Schnitzer pedals including dead pan on Ebay. The rubber inserts are worn heavy on both the clutch and brake. Any idea where I can get new rubbers? I called BavAuto, they can't supply only the rubbers. Should I contact the manufacturer directly?

While on the subject, is removing the gas pedal tedious or easy?

You might need to contact one of the ebay seller to see if they can sell you the insert only. Most likely they can since they probably make the pedals or can contact the manufacturer.

No need to remove the gas pedal for installation. I just use the pedal as a template and drilled the necessary holes. Only hard part is trying to fit the screws and nuts behind the gas pedal. Gas and clutch pedal were plastic but the brake was metal that require a metal bit to drill through.

i buy a set of ///m insert in metal for about 50.00 on ebay, i think is more cheap to you buy a new set. Is easy to remove the gas pedal.

Will the rubbers fit my pedals, hard to tell? I would gladly buy these on Ebay if they do.

That is exactly why I am removing the pedal, to make it easier.

Hey L8 i removed my gas pedal when i did the ACS installs on my car. If i recall correctly the gas pedal pops out of the floor at the base and at the top of the pedal in the rear you have to slide the pedal off this plastic hinge. It is a easy process to do.

When I bought the used pedals, the gas pedal came mounted to the AC Schnitzer cover. Seems it's alot easier to remove the pedal than the cover.

I just looked at some M pedals on Ebay, the inserts look identical to mine.

Yea i saw the same, i think is the same pedal but with a ///m logo or ac logo...

I will do an even swap for my AC Schnitzer aluminum knob for a set of rubbers for the pedals. The knob sells for over $300.00 on Bav Auto website.

Just to clarify... you want to replace the rubber "stripes" on your ACS pedals, NOT the OEM rubber pedal covers, correct?

The P.O. of my car installed the "///M" version of the ACS pedals and I'm almost positive that I've seen the OEM rubber pedal covers in the luggage compartment somewhere.

If the "///M" rubber inserts fit perfectly into my AC Schnitzer metal pedals, we have a deal. You must have new rubbers for clutch, brake and gas pedals. Yes, I am not talking about stock rubber pedal covers, I am talking abou the rubber stripes.

Oops... sorry... I didn't make myself clear. I'm going to blame it on too many hours sitting in a bouncy minivan yesterday coming home from Atlantic City. LOL

Anyway... I was going to offer the OEM rubber pedal covers if that's what you wanted. But, I was pretty sure that you didn't want those because they're surely cheap to buy new.

But, ya know... now that I think about it...

I haven't looked at my ///M pedals to see how they're assembled, but if I understand correctly, you're suggesting that the rubber "stripe" part is an insert that's perhaps clamped between the pedal covers and the pedals. If that's the case, I wonder if you could cut up a tire inner tube and sandwich that between the existing rubber insert and the pedal cover? IF that would work, you could probably pick up a bicycle tire tube for a few dollars, or come up with a punctured one for free.
