Default Gutting a DISA valve

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a little information about gutting a DISA valve, if anyone can answer a few question it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

When gutting you have to seal a hole. This one?

Second question, when you gut the valve do I have to remove the rubber boot inside the valve or is cutting the metal stem as low as possible and removing the butterfly sufficient? If post a picture of what I did but is can't seem to upload it.

Thanks, Daniel

Sorry for the delayed response. Using picture in first post remove the metal rod completely. and the rubber diaphragm. Basically remove everything so that you have a plastic cover to plug the DISA hole in the manifold. Plug any holes in your new plastic DISA cover plate with JB Weld quick (My favorite)

When the DISA is gutted correctly you will have a plastic plate with o-ring which you bolt into the manifold DISA hole with the original 3 bolts.

This is only needed for a boosted car. I ran a DISA on a turbo M44 and the DISA got destroyed by the boost hitting it so hard. The parts went down the intake and bent 2 valves.

Best, John S

When you remove the disa valve what do you do with the connector? I have just installed a DASC kit and this connector is redundant as the manifold is different, would it stop the engine from running if this connector was left un connected?
