Default need more power!!!

hello people! this is my first post i resentley bought a 316 sport with a 1.9 m43tu engine. This car is slower than a bus! after reading a few post's i have realised the only way forward is to acquire two extra cylinders. As i am new to bmw's my knowlege is patchey, although i have done many conversions before of other makes of vheicles. If im wright my car is OBD1 system? So i think a early m3 lump is what i need, along with the loom. Some questions i need help answering. If i get a m3 engine OBD1 type, gearbox, 2.8 z3 rear diff, what driveshafts and propshafts will i need for it to all fit? Also what other wiring do i need? Do i need any A/C or P/S pipes or any thing like that? any advise welcome, thanx for the help, Paul.

If your car is from the model year 1996 or later it is OBDII, earlier is OBDI
