Default 1997 318TI M-Technic

97 TI, w/M-Technic package. 130K miles. 2nd owner. Silver, with Black leather/Grey cloth interior. 5 Speed. No cruise control; factory 6 disc changer in the hatch; factory keyless entry. Replaced OEM Boge/Sachs struts/shocks and put on a set of Kuhmo tires (stock 225/60) in 2005. Complete tune-up, including drive belts and coolant flust/thermostat replacement in 2004. The A/C does not hold freon. My mechanic performed a pressure test and has narrowed down the leak to perhaps the evaporator core. My mechanic also told me that aftermarket pads had been installed in the front (previous owner), which warped the front rotors. Will need rear pads within a few thousand miles. However, the car still stops like a BMW, though there is an occasional vibration through the brake pedal. As far as gas mileage, I average 20mpg in the City (very short commute to work) and have squeezed out 34mpg on the highway. Car has never been in an accident, though has a couple of minor "door dings". Asking $5,500 or would consider trading for a 94 or 95 525I. I am in Long Beach, Calif. Pics available upon request. Let me know if interested.

Thanks, Dale

After much thought, I have concluded that I cannot part with my beloved TI. I am having knee surgery soon and will be unable to drive a 5-speed for quite some time. Thought it would be practical to replace my 5-speed with a auto trans car. But, the thought of parting with my "way too much fun to drive" TI is too much to bear! So, for now i'll park it. I would cancel this post, but I don't see a way to do that
