I installed a DashMat.

The dashboard in my car is a light tan color, so it creates a lot of glare on the windshield. They're available in a nice variety of colors. I suppose I could have got one in blue to match the outside of the car, but my purpose was glare reduction, so in good German fashion I ordered a black one.

It's basically a custom-cut and -sewn piece of carpet. It's held in place with hooky Velcro that sticks to the dashboard. (If there was ArmorAll on the dashboard, you'll have to use rubbing alcohol to get the crud off; it prevents the tape sticking.) The mat has cutouts for vents and a flap for the passenger airbag; it's tailored for the instrument pod. It takes a bit of fiddling to get the mat flat but the fit is very good

The effect on the glare is amazing: It solves the problem.

It costs less than forty bucks on eBay. Shipping is included. Mine arrived sooner than the weeks they said it might take to make one.

installed my Strömung exhaust, it was raining today so I ended up with a soaked door panel because I had to drive with the windows down to hear it

Interesting... In all of the years that I used to put Dashmats in my cars (80's/90's), I always found the black ones to cause the MOST glare. I even put a light gray one in an all black interior because the glare from the black one was so bad. Perhaps they've changed their fabrics/materials for the better in the past 15 years or so, or now have a matte option?

Mounted a five element red led light to the plastic back of the break light, getting current and switching from the trunk light. Now when I pop and raise the hatch the led lights up nice, bright, and red. I'm a bit of a safety nut, but the mod looks cool as well in my opinion. Picked up the light from Wal Mart for $ 7.49, I think. Spray painted the chrome plastic frame with grey primer because I have the light colored interior. Drilled one small hole in the metal near the break light to get the wires, "inside" the truck, the stuffed the wires underneath the weatherstripping down to the truck light. Total investment: about ten bucks.

it sounds so awesome, only took me about 15 minutes to get it on with the car on a lift too, really wishing I had done this sooner

Zoner, the mat itself has a sort of sparkly texture which probably counts as glare. Is that what you mean? But it is such an improvement over the previous condition, and I can't see that effect in the windshield, so I'm happy with it.

Just finished putting a 2003 330i steering rack in my car. What an awesome difference, car reacts immediately to steering input.

Installed a system on my car it was easy except for putting back the trim
I also found out that the pervious owner would let the dog in the car, no wonder the interior is messed up.

Got it from a junkyard car for like $50. Not too hard, getting the old tie rods off was the worst part. But the car only had 60XXX miles on it so this rack is much tighter than my 165XXX rack. That and the tighter ratio make it a legit upgrade. The E46 rack doesn't use tie rod lockplates so don't bother buying new ones if you do it. This rack has a closer ratio than a non M Z3 and can usually be found cheaper, search bf.c for more info.

Today: Installed rear Axxis Ultimate pads to match my fronts.

did you smash the M3 bumper or something?

just got done replacing my windshield cowls, antenna grommet and installing my fan delete nut from Turner, I'm embarrassed by how long it took me to realize it was reverse threaded

I had hit something on the freeway a couple of months back, and the bumper was looking like it belonged on a track rat...

Anyway the non ///M bumper was free, I already had some CF wrap, and so I picked up that M-Tech style lip, wrapped it and voila!

However, the lip is so low, it didn't make it out of my driveway without scraping...

Obligitory "cigarette pack to show how low" picture;
