IE is the block the same? i have an itch for some more power out of my weeny 1.8l.. suppose thats probaby because i have owned an E36 325i and the difference between that and a 318i feels monumental.. i know the 318i has better gearing for acceleration but the engine just doesnt cut it with around 115hp.. are there any manifolds for turbo conversions that fit the M43 that i could get here in europe or posted to europe? alternately does anyone make an adaptor that allows fitting a turbo to the stock manifold? or has anyone ever had one custom made and if so anyone know the dimensions/measurements so i could get it duplicated? my biggest issue would be actually mounting the turbo to the engine. pumbing oil lines and intake pipes is a walk in the park in comparison IMO. also what about management? if im going to do this i want it to be low budget. id sacrifice some power for cheapness. would 5psi work with the stock management and barn door AFM? not looking to break the bank as i didnt pay that much for the car in the first place. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
