Please share your experiences. Though the GKD webpage seems more influential in helping the average joe to understand what they are receiving and how to attain the best tune. I perosnally believe GKD's Trademark Name is more succumbed to meeting all of our pockets in a nice way. He briefly explained what was necessary to install a SC kit. He directed me to find a (K-Data) programmable ECU and also mentioned to me that a set of 440cc injectors will been needed for optimal performance. As soon as I get some debt paid off, this GKD kit is mine!!! DASC in my opinion, to find one even used has been hard. | | | 07-14-2014, 02:46 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: Grove City, PA Posts: 113 | What's the special difference? I see it does not have tuning with it so I could help with tuning code through MidNight tuning. Price is very good compared to DASC. I will look into the kit more to see if I can find any issues. I know there was a KO Performance kit that got bad reviews and they didn't back the product. If you pound in 14psi of boost with a Meth injection you can get 250hp easy. Pat Knosker (sp?) on the board did it with dyno posted. I ran 15-16 psi on my DASC but never dynoed. I have a Youtube video of how it completely broke the 265/40/17 rears loose through 1st & 2nd John S Interested in this kit for sure but need to work right now so I will get back later... | | | 07-15-2014, 04:43 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: Grove City, PA Posts: 113 | Yes... The fully programmable ECU seems nice as well... The sales person also suggested 440cc injectors... so, there again, I am only going by what Peter at GKD mentioned to me... To me, it's definitely worth a shot, with GKD, K-Data ECU and some injectors, I will see where that takes me... | | | 08-24-2015, 01:08 PM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2015 Location: Devon Posts: 3 | Kdata m44 supercharger.... Hi, im a newbie on here and been reading some forums... Ive got a M44 with the GKD supercharger, just purchased the P'N'P Kdata ECU, with lamba sensor and Got some Bosch 440cc injectors to go in next.. Has anyone done this yet?? im looking to do it myself (ive done the rest so far) is it straight forward?? any pointers on the setup & connections etc??? any help will be much appreciated (ive actually got 2 of these to do!) Thanks.. | | | 08-24-2015, 06:06 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: Grove City, PA Posts: 113 | Let us know how the build goes. I previously anticipated an DASC or GKD install, but found a Dinan unit from a wrecked M3. Which will go in now. I still need to find some management preferably cheap. K-data seems really simple and easy to use, may not be able to pass them up. Good luck! | | | 08-24-2015, 07:34 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Fl Posts: 1,353 | I have always loved the cool factor of a roots blower on an M42/4. If only I could make one make more sense than an M5x swap. This kit is intriguing however. __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! Did this change recently? | | | 08-26-2015, 12:56 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: MD Posts: 126 | That's the last I heard too. I e-mailed the owner about a year or so ago concerning the kit working with LHD E36s and he stated they were still working on some prototypes and verifying it would fit. I told him there would probably be a good interest in the forum here, but haven't heard anything from him since then. I'd be interested to know if someone in the US has acquired one and how it works. __________________ '96 318ti Base - few mods installed... | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
