Default Hello

Hello everyone,

I am a new ti owner probably the youngest on here being only 17. I bought a manual ti 95' from one of my father's close friends whose been using it for 15 years and took really good care of it. Its in good shape and its my first car which I paid only $700for! Not one of those rich kids who gets a mustang for his birthday haha anyway those things aren't even that good.

The reason I signed up is to have a group of people who can possibly help me in the future if things go wrong. Like just recently I got pulled over for a faulty bulb no ticket went home checked the bulb then after I put it back the car did not want to start. After doing research I realized it was the brake light fuse.

So I hope I will be accepted as part of the community.

Once every month or so my car wont start. It is always the brake light fuse. I am not sure why, but its an easy fix so I dont care. Have a small pack of extra fuses in your car just in case. My ti is not my first car, however it is the first car that I have worked on. I have learned to do anything I would ever need from brake jobs, and suspension to full engine swaps from just the info on this site.

Yea I already did that It's strange because the old one doesnt look burnt or anything and I put in the new one which made the car finally start then swapped with the old one again and it started perfectly fine....then i went to look at another bulb in the brakelight that was out and tried starting nothing. So i just left the new one in and now its fine

I finally just put in a heavier fuse, I think I went from the 10 to 15 0r 15 to 20.... I did the brake light add so they were blowing all the time. Normally I would not up a fuse but in this case I could not find anything shorting out, Its seemed to partially be caused by the sockets getting old...

Now I have LED lights in the added circuit gets the load down to where it was stock.

Yea we are fixing it up as well things like the brakes are shot and the brake sensors are worn out. Plus a bunch of interior stuff like a-pillars. I have a black leather interior as well and I cleaned the rims today they went from a brownish yellow to silver it was amazing.

And for pdx Im going to take that into consideration if I get the problem again with the new fuse.
