The last time I posted it forsale, I only listed it on this site not locally or any other forum, and as we know there is not alot of traffic here with about only 1,000 members. If you are still interested in it maybe we could work something out. | | | 10-04-2004, 09:47 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Indiana Posts: 256 | Also If you know anyone interested in getting a TI, let them know, because I will give you $100 for refering them if they purchase the car. | | | 10-05-2004, 02:22 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Mankato, MN Posts: 53 | I do not want to say anything bad but you may want to lower the price. Here is what I have found: Edmunds = $9,046, Kelley Blue Book = $8,450, and NADA = about 10000ish. Just a though. | | | 10-05-2004, 02:49 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Indiana Posts: 256 | Average Trade-In $10,225 Average Retail $12,350 According to Nada Guides My car also has driver and passanger side door airbags, ASC + T, and the active package. Look on www.autotrader.com and look for a 97-99 318ti with under 50,000 miles and you will see my asking price is fair. I am negotiable on the price as well. | | | 10-05-2004, 07:34 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Mankato, MN Posts: 53 | Oh no, I am sure I just think that it is funny because the car market is not doing very well right now and people think that they can get gold for the cars that they own. To clear this up, I am not picking on you by all means, this is just something that I have personally noticed about some people these days. They list a 95 318ti with 100K miles for $4,000. Look around how many 95's do you see going for $4000? 1997 with around 85,000 miles for $6000 1998 with 45,000 miles $8,900. All I am saying is that if you look around that you are going to be surprised when KBB is off big time. That is why I use Nada guides because most insurance companies use the Nada Values. | | | 10-05-2004, 06:23 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Ohio Posts: 183 | I thought in 98 they pretty much did away with the active package...If I am not mistaken the only model you could get was the sport, but could be wrong.... __________________ DannyBoy 1997 318tiA Sport, 99,500 miles, All original except for APC Super White Bulbs. | | | 10-05-2004, 06:26 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Ohio Posts: 183 | Kelly Blue Book Sucks Balls...They under price everything. Look at the car you are driving and then see how many other people are driving them...they are kinda rare, which in my mind increases the value of the car. To most of us our car is like gold so why not treat it that way.... __________________ DannyBoy 1997 318tiA Sport, 99,500 miles, All original except for APC Super White Bulbs. | | | 10-05-2004, 07:23 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | Prices I just bought a 1998 318ti (5spd) with leather interior, no active or sport option. The car was almost mint and had 31.5K miles. I paid $10,500 from a private seller. Since your car has the active package and alloy wheels(mine didn't), it seems like you are in a fair pricing zone. I guess it is just what the market will take. There is a limited supply of Low milage Ti's out there. I am also negotiable on my Price, where most dealers aren't. | | | 10-06-2004, 06:19 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Lafayette, Louisiana, US Posts: 164 | Quote: Originally Posted by ddiorio1313 I thought in 98 they pretty much did away with the active package...If I am not mistaken the only model you could get was the sport, but could be wrong.... | i think you're thinking about the '99 model...the last year the ti was available here in the states (unfortunately). good ol' e36 in an e46 time period. yeah. so what if that almost didn't make sense? ha. | | | 10-12-2004, 05:15 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Indiana Posts: 256 | Ok I am reconsidering the Price a little but this is my bottom dollar. $10,500 | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
