This board's search function (unlike many other forums) actually works wonders. | | | 09-08-2005, 01:20 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Pretty much everything will bolt up. You will need a custom exhaust and the instrument cluster from the M3. You should consider replacing the diff from the ti also. You can find any year since the engine is OBD-II. If you find a 95 ti you would need to do an OBD-I conversion. Where do you live? There is nothing in the forums such as a to do list. Maybe you should start one for the next time someone asks. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 09-08-2005, 04:41 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Does he need a custom (or non-M3) driveshaft too? But yah, there are some complete threads on what you need for a swap. Just search, then ask for confirmation. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 09-08-2005, 05:46 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 2 | ok cool, thank you, yeah i did do a search but most involve the obd1 and a complete m3 wasn't involved out of what i scanned through. the only thing i see is the controversy is driveshaft i'm in the dallas area and need to find a 318ti now | | | 09-08-2005, 06:03 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Check cars.com. I seem to remember seeing a 318ti in AZ with a blown headgasket for $3200. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 09-08-2005, 09:22 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: MD/VA/DC Posts: 834 | theres a TI with no motor and trany for sale in the forsale forum | | | 09-09-2005, 01:26 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by 96cali Does he need a custom (or non-M3) driveshaft too? | I believe so.
