Default New Guy from Northern California

Hey guys,

Im planning on picking up a to in the near future. I would prefer to purchase off of someone from the forums. Anyways a little about me, since I was young I've been into the to. Just never liked the fact that it was so slow I suppose but now I'm in gas saving mode so I figured I would purchase one.

Speed is only one facet of total performance- when set up correctly, these cars will out handle any other E36 model, M3 included.

Welcome to the forum- hope you find the right car soon!

Welcome! Where in Norcal are you located? As Wolferj mentioned, a few of us are getting together Saturday at Riverboat Marina on Andrus Island in the Delta off of Hwy 12 in between Rio Vista and Lodi. You're welcome to join us, ti or not.

Good luck with your search for your ti. Cheers! Rich

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I still need to sell my 05 legacy ft before I can pick up my ti and its not looking good. The market for these little monsters are quite high. I did however miss out on one that was failing smog for 1250 just last week.

I picked up a 95 that was failing smog as well, but a AM cat fixed that right up. Passed Smog easily and it runs great! Good luck with your search.

My first post on this site: just picked up my ti last week, 1996 almost all stock, now has 87K miles. BMW owner since 1990: E34, 2002tii, E36, X5 (e53), E36/8 (MCoupe) now the ti and soon replacing the E53 with an #70.
Lurking over the past few weeks and talking to Ed, my mechanic, taught me a lot. I carried the two plastic coolant pipes with me in case I broke on edriving up form LA to NorCal, but no problems except for no radio antenna.

Nice! Welcome! Pics when you can. Call out if you need a hand. Depending on where you are in the East Bay, there are a few forum members in the area. Cheers...
