I'm looking at this 98 ti,I've not seen the car yet in person so can't say how clean it is.just looking what your first opinion a it is.good or bad http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...gIndex=1&Log=0 | | | 12-01-2013, 10:12 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I seem to remember a car here with KOMPRESSOR on it. I'd wait to hear from the guys who have superchargers. There is some maintenance that needs to be done. Look at the chassis carefully. Ohio winters kill cars. Look for rust. I recently bought a 2nd ti and didn't notice all the rust under the car. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-01-2013, 10:21 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2013 Location: Sheboygan,Wi Posts: 135 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti I seem to remember a car here with KOMPRESSOR on it. Can you even get replacement parts for those superchargers any more? | | | 12-01-2013, 10:25 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | That SC is no longer manufactured but there are often people parting out cars. The red mill point seats are nice. The fact that it's a manual sport makes it pretty desirable. Price isn't so bad as long as it doesn't need much. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-01-2013, 10:32 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2013 Location: Sheboygan,Wi Posts: 135 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti That SC is no longer manufactured but there are often people parting out cars. I'm glad the owner of the red Club Sport didn't have to read your opinion of the cars condition on his post. I said it lived a rough life and he read me the riot act. You will be fine when purchasing a 318ti...you've got a good eye and can see past the bull$hit. __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 12-02-2013, 12:25 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2013 Location: Sheboygan,Wi Posts: 135 | Quote: Originally Posted by teetime4one Had a feeling... Passed on a few really nice club sports in past just because I wasn't sure if that's what I wanted at the time. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
