Thumbs up

Let me introduce myself before i sound stupid. Hi, im sean. Im new here, and (not sure if this is taboo or not) but i dont even own a ti (m50) I legit just joined this site, simply in an effort to tell you how much i respect and praise you for the fact that you took something you couldn't stand looking at and made it into something i cant stand not to follow. i got like actual sad when i saw ur original post dates, thinking i would never see how this build turned out. but when i realized you started up again i damn near fell outta my chair leaning forward to read further haha. im not too sure why this thread hit me so hard but thank you for reviving it, i will definitely be on the edge of my seat (not entirely figuratively) awaiting to see what you have planned next. Props on the car man, and best of luck with all your efforts.

Thank you j!m for the warm welcome, i appreciate it. As i was sure i would have been treated as a pariah so to speak, due to owning a 325 as opposed to the wonderful 318. Sorry for crowding up the build thread by double posting, but question for the OP. (Or anyone with more knowledge than i. Which isnt saying much) How much fabrication if any at all, was required to install the e46 fenders on the e36 chasis? And do they indeed allow more clearance than the predesccing fenders? My apologies I feel as if this was mentioned here previously but after multiple re-reads, i have no clue where i saw that information. Any input would be beneficial thank you all again.

If you look at the beginning of the thread, the E46 fenders were cut up, as were the original E36 ones, and they were welded together and blended.

This mod has been done many times in the past to a couple tis and a lot of regular E36's.

It allows up to (I think) 10" of rim if selected carefully.

It is not a "bolt-on" modification at all and requires a lot of skill and attention to detail to get right.

Ahhh, that makes muchhhhh more sense, it was late as i was re-reading. Im awestruck, the car looks so amazing and i would have never known it was a bondo application. A++ sir. Sorry for the dim-wittedness, I somehow was mistakingly under the impression the OP swapped the fronts for e46 fenders, and cut and bondo'd the e36 fenders in the rear. I shouldve gawked at the photos for longer Thank you J!m for clearing that up for me.
