The drive train, trans and harness are all from a 95 M3. The brain, 506, is also for a 95 M3. We are unable to get it to start for what we believ is an alarm/security issue between the brain and key. Can anyone shed any light on this? Typically what brain is used with a 3.0 motor? and is it typically a bolt it in, wire it up, turn key project? I don't see why you feel sensored, if you want to let everyone know how to bypass a security feature on your own car to the rest of the world, go ahead | | | 11-09-2005, 11:19 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Actually I mis-spoke, I was not censored at all. The thread just made no sense, now I understand why. Or do I? We'll never know. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 11-10-2005, 12:38 AM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Posts: 6 | Did you send me a PM regarding the EWS issue i'mhaving with my swap? | | | 11-10-2005, 12:48 AM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Posts: 6 | I don't understand - did mischief send me aaPM fix or is the dealship the answer? | | | 11-10-2005, 01:18 AM | #12 | doesn't care about you. While the fix might help you with your problem, I'm guessing the rest of the e36 community doesn't want this information out in the open. With the EWS bypassed or disabled, stealing an e36 becomes incredibly easy. Especially if you have a ti or a coupe with pop out rear windows. I'm just guessing here... Mischief, we're still waiting for a reply on the SC questions! __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 11-10-2005, 04:16 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: MD/VA/DC Posts: 834 | Quote: Originally Posted by jrobb Did you send me a PM regarding the EWS issue i'mhaving with my swap? | the guys are right this information cant be post to the public Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT I think Mischief posted a way to disable/bypass the EWS system.
