So what cars do we drive atm, or have played a great part of our lives? Mine was a 2003 Astra mk4. Was when i lived in the UK. So it was a Vauxhal. Some people may know it as a Opel/ Holden, but anyway it was made by GM. 2003 GSI Turbo Astra Stage 2 hybred Turbo, 11ltr intercoorer, 308mm Brakes, koni adjustales, Bailies BOV, remapped and rpm set to 7k, 275hp at the wheels and 320lbs torque. 0-70 in just under 5sec. Its was done as a show car, and i won a few meets. As you can see it was all decked out etc. Only sold it to come home here to Australia with the wife And yes been from Aus living in the UK/overseas They called me "Skippy" go figure Btw this was 7 years ago, and things you like change when you get older lol Last edited by Daffy; 09-11-2012 at 05:47 AM. | | | 09-11-2012, 04:07 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Maryland, USA Posts: 678 | No. I've always had a BMW. __________________ BostonGreen 97' w/ DASC & Technique Stage 1 software M3 front bumper. It was a blast to drive! __________________ Sean 1995 Active Last edited by teetime4one; 09-11-2012 at 04:10 AM. | | | 09-11-2012, 06:45 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | 1967 Impala (Big Block) 1965 Datsun L320 pickup (First car I bought.) 1969 Baja Bug 1957 Ford Fairlane. 1980 MGB 1969 911 1985 Toyota 4x4 shorty. Although my first two ever driving experiences at the age of 12/13 were a '93 F-150 4 on the floor and a '90 suzuki samurai 5spd . Then theres the occasional tear around in the '03 X5, '00 528i, '70 1600-2 and '68 stang. But its pretty much BMW exclusive __________________ 1999 BMW 318ti 2005 MINI Cooper S | | | 09-11-2012, 09:07 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2012 Location: Dodging potholes in SoCal Posts: 454 | My first car was my 1968 BMW 1600-2. I bought it in 2007 when I was 15 (you can do the math to find out how old I am). __________________ '96 318ti California Edition- Montreal blue '68 1600-2-Caribe blue | | | 09-11-2012, 10:53 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Roanoke, VA Posts: 472 | I saw the skippy in the back window and had to smile. Have a buddy of mine that lives in Manchester and that is his nickname. He built a car out of nothing but parts found in the trash (skips). It took him a couple of years but he got it done and it looks nice! | | | 09-11-2012, 10:56 AM | #8 | Member Join Date: Jul 2012 Location: Fort Worth, Texas Posts: 80 | Most but not all.
