I am upgrading my stock 16 inch wheels from my club sport to 17 inch mille miglia spiders. I want to sell my stock wheels, but have no idea how much i should charge and what I might get for them. The rims are in decent shape. There are quite a few shallow surface sratches that you can't see unless you are up close, but no deep scratches or curb rash. The tires on them don't have much tread on them so the price would basically be for the rims only. First of all, if anyone is interested in purchasing them let me know. Second, if anyone could give me an idea of what to ask for them I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I just sold mine for $500, but my tires had over 50% tread left on Dunlop Sport 9000s.

The replacement cost of the rims are $315 each (see www.bmwwheels.com).

Can u post a few pics? I might be interested (after i get my damn bumper replaced! but thats a different post). How wide are they?

Im looking to go to 16" wheels this summer, Im not sure what style i want yet but im hoping for 225/50 rubber as opposed to my current 205/60 (which im planning on wrapping in winter shoes later on). I dont care about the tires ;} .

These wheels are 16x7, and require 225/50/16 tires. I'll take some pictures and post them tomorrow (Sunday). Let me know if you are interested ASAP, because I will be posting them on eBay on Monday. My eBay userID is bmracer (if you want to just wait and participate in the auction). I am going to set my "buy it now" price at $450 plus shipping, but I will sell them to you for $350 plus shipping if you want them.

Thanks for the interest in the wheels. After I looked at ALL of the tires (I just looked at the first one and assumed the others needed replacing too), I realized that three of them actually have a decent amount of tread left. I actually just placed them on ebay. In fairness to the members of this forum that may be interested in the wheels for the price of $350, I have set the reserve at $300. Depending on the bidding you may even get them for cheaper! With the addition of the tires, I added another $135 to the price ($485 Buy It Now). I think 3 tires are definitely worth $135, but it's up to you. The link to my auction (which includes pictures) is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2407746129

I have some other closer up pictures of the wheels, so let me know if you want to see them (or I could take more specific pictures if you want them). Also, if you win the auction, let me know you are a member of the 318ti.org message board and I will refund any shipping charges under the $100 flat rate I am charging. Thanks, and good luck.

Justin, what do you think of the Dunlop 5000's?
Theyre on my list of consideration for new tires.

I like them alot. Cornering and wet traction are great, and road noise is not bad at all. They are a little expensive (at least when you get them from the dealer), but overall I would say they are worth it if you can afford the price.

You ought to spend just a little bit more and get the Dunlop Sport 9000s. Much better wet and dry traction than the 5000s. I would suggest getting them from the Tire Rack (www.tirerack.com) or seeing if a local dealer will match the tire rack prices.

Several tire dealers in my area will match the Tire Rack price. Also, many are affliated with the Tire Rack and will mount and balance the tires for $15 each.
