Default M44 -> M42 manual transmission transplant

Hi guys,

Does somebody know from experience that a manual transmission from a car with a M44 fits a '95 ti with a M42?

In theory that looks to be the case, realoem gives the same part number for both, I'd just like to double-check and hear from somebody who's done it.

Regards,
Sergey.
