I emailed him requesting to buy a copy but have not heard back from him. I don't know if he is still active on this board or if his email addy still works. So if anyone has one available I would appreciate the chance to purchase it. Thanks! Posts: 3,156 | SORRY!!! I'm just so busy lately! I am in constant motion between NY, CT and WV (notice location in my profile...), and typically at a moments notice. I owe at least two out at this point. I have one all printed up for someone who backed out on me, so that one is pretty easy (just have to change name and registration number). I have to print some others... Let me get settled in WV, then I can work on getting them out. Again, I apologize to you all, and thank you for being patient! I have emailed him directly several times with no response. It's too bad when when such a valuable board resource just ignores requests for assistance. I know he has seen this thread because he is an active poster. Whats the deal j!m?????????????????????????????????? | | | 09-23-2004, 01:22 PM | #13 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! Posts: 3,156 | I formally apologise to all involved. You all have no concept of how busy I am. I worked 26 days straight (typically over 11 hours a day) for the month of July. I went on a two-week expedition of Newfoundland at the begining of august (and destroyed my Transmission doing it). I have been searching for the better part of this month for a transmission for less than $3,700.00. (I finally got one yesterday for $1800.00) I'm flying to CT Friday evening, insatlling this trnsmission Saturday, then driving it 12 hours back to West Virginia on Sunday. (of corse I have to work on Monday) I am preparing this vehicle for a trans-African expedition, involving tremendos amount of engineering and time. (I'm sure you hve no idea the work involved with this) I am currnetly running a facility in West Virginia. I simply don't have the time I used to have to dedicate to this. My f**king car has not even been WASHED all summer! I had made a copy for someone who never paid for it. I REALLY don't have time for this... PLEASE cut me some slack here. I don't appreciate being bashed. I will take a final count, here, and print some . If you, or someone you know wants one GET THEM TO POST HERE. Because I will do one run, and send them out. The quality will be less than the previous printings because I don't have time to get them printed professionally, and have to do them myself. The cost will be $50.00 as before, plus actual shipping (I may just set it at 2-3$ or something so I don't have to run out to the post and back with cost). This may very well be the last run I do, because the cost is just not worth the aggravation to me t this point. If you want one, order and PAY for it. Use PayPal. That's esiest for me. Sending checks takes WY too long, and causes problems. I hope you all understand this now. I'm trying to be as accomidating as possible here, but it is not easy. Possibly, I'll sell some on eBay later on, when things calm down, but don't hold your breath... In summary, if you want one post here. Once I PM you back, PAY PROMPTLY. I will print next week, and hopefully ship them all on Friday, so DON"T DELY. My time is precious ltely. Finally, be aware this is a guide, and assumes a certain mechanical aptitude. If you have done engine swaps before (in any car) you SHOULD have the skills and tools needed for this swap. If not, this may not be for you. Keep this in mind before you buy. Indeed you are a busy man and I appreciate you responding in regards to this. I would like to buy one copy from you and I will paypal you $55 today to cover the cost of the manual and make sure it's enough for shipping to Nebraska. Edit: I paypaled you a little bit ago. Thanks! Thank You Jeff | | | 09-23-2004, 04:56 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | "You all have no concept of how busy I am." "I went on a two-week expedition of Newfoundland at the begining of august" "I'm sure you hve no idea the work involved with this" Ay-yi-yi.... thanks for schooling us. Really J!m, I don't think any comments here equate to bashing. If you run a facility you know the importance of communication. Even a quick response lets people know the situation. Just don't assume none of us have been there in the hot seat like you are now. Sorry things are crazy for you. Thanks for sharing the engine swap info with us all. Seriously, we benefit from your expertise and thanks for it. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
