quick oil change related question.........

so i just changed the oil on my ti. i put in 5 quarts of mobil1 10W30 full synthetic, which i told what was required. now, the question. i can not get the damn filter cap off, so i left it there for now. i have a filter wrench coming for it next friday from salvo auto parts.

i guess the question is, could anything bad happen if i leave old filter there with new oil in the engine? i only plan on doing no more than 200 miles till next friday. and was i told right about the amount of engine oil and grade of oil?

Youll be fine. Should be 5.2-5Qts of oil.

definitely won't hurt anything, you may need to add some more oil of it leaks out of the filter housing when you open it though
