Took the opportunity to feel around the secondary air pump for air leaks - didn't find any, so I suspect the pump is just loud (thanks for pointing me at that unit). May need to visit a junkyard and see if I can find another. Also hunting a window/seat heater switch plastic surround/retainer - no Ti's in the yard up here and a regular 318 window escutcheon is the wrong size/shape. | | | 09-29-2014, 06:28 PM | #257 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | PM me. She'll get over it since I just parted out my other 2 328is's. | | | 10-25-2014, 01:29 AM | #259 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Today was my first day off since Sept. 29th. I spent the first half of the day getting an issue diagnosed and then finding a place that could do the repair. Turns out my sway bar mounts need to be replaced. I ordered the parts from Tischer... hope to have the car in the shop next Friday. Great way to start a day. LOL __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! Also replaced my front wiper arms. FYI, when I ordered the new ones I was told I got the last driver's side arm (61-61-8-360-023; there is a 61-61-8-361-391 for cars up to 3/1996) in the country, and the passenger side has a new number (61-61-8-353-048). The number under the new sticker, and the one I gave my shop (61-61-8-392-002), had none available and is different than the number on my old wiper arm (61-61-8-392-006), which comes up as an invalid part # on RealOEM. Problem turned out to be a loose connection, not the special relay gone bad, which is a good thing because a new one goes for about $125 these days.
