I'd love to hear if you find a solution for this. It seems to happen more when it is cold out (< 40 f) | | | 11-28-2014, 07:27 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Oct 2012 Location: middle GA Posts: 60 | Quote: Originally Posted by derekkg My M52 sometimes does this also, although only when coming to a stop in neutral/clutch in. Then check for any vacuum leaks. | | | 11-29-2014, 01:20 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Laguna Beach Posts: 357 | Quote: Originally Posted by M-technik-3 Start with the IAC, clean it test it. I built a smoke machine using a GM diesel glow plug, a 1-qt. paint can and pharmacy glycerine. Hooked it up to the air intake boot and voila -- I easily found the leak and solved the hunting idle. My S50 has similar idle surge during the transition from cold to warm, when the temp pm gage is just out of the blue. It seems a little lean then, but it's fine when fully warmed up. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
