Default Boser "Hood" on the ti

Well my cousin has now graduated from college and is now devoting his time to working with me on a POS 89 F150 and a 1956 Duracraft Sportsman boat. He is going to buy a MIG welder to keep the bondo to a mininmum so Ive decided to experiment on my ti. I kinda like the look of a boser hood and since all the metal on the front of my car is going to be replaced Im going to fabricate my own boser look on the ti. Im going to try to do this without actually welding any metal to the hood. Ive decided to weld the extentions to the metal around the grills and then bolt the tops of the extentions to the metal above the headlight brackets. If I go ahead and do this Ill post pics, but dose anyone here see any holes in my plan already?

Seems like it would work but I don't think you'll get the look you're going for. I've seen the ones the kids in Deutschland do, and really like the not-too aggressive ones.

I hope this shows up, I got this off a thread on bf.c. I want to weld the extentions to the metal around the grills not to the hood. Im doing it on metal that already needs to be replaced so if I dont like it it will be replaced and if I do then I will redo it.

If you have the DOT headlights, you might have to grind down one of the nubs.

So....you block the headlights? That doesn't make sense. What's the point? Besides being different.

+2 (one for each headlight)

If you're going to do something like that, don't do it half-way... go all-out and redesign the headlights too.

well, its definitely unique. i've never seen that look before, but i think it would be cool to have something that noone else has. good luck, it looks like it'll be a good amount of work.

thats an ugly POS. I remember youd say sh!t about my car but if anything its turning out that your more "ricey" than me. You used to say my car was a lot of ricer, seriously man, stare at that hood 1 more time, and tell me whos ricer now.

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

Angel's hood is the sh!t. The other one is too aggressive, but still very unique and bad ass. I want to do this mod, but more like Angel's hood. They sell kits on the German Ebay site.

I say do it!!!!

I can appreciate the work that goes into this mod, but not my cup of tea as far as looks are concerned.

Cheers,

Im not planning on doing it the same way as in the pic I posted, thats way too aggressive. I want to do it like the tis in the pics you guys posted did it. And Hugo, dont be an ass. To everyone who dosnt like it dont worry, it wont be on there for long. If you would have read my first post I said that the metal is ruined so Im just experimenting. When I it fixed Im going to take them off. This is just an experiment that possibly will help someone else who wants to do the same thing.
