Anyway you really think it will look that bad? The only reason i'd go with this combo is my hood is white already as it is. I gathered my inspiration from this pic, except blue on bottom white on top http://www.retrobmw.co.uk/images/members/gr1.JPG Last edited by rookie_98; 03-01-2010 at 07:25 AM. | | | 03-01-2010, 07:31 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I don't really like it either, I think when the colors are dark/dark or light/light two-tone looks good, but no when it's dark/light | | | 03-01-2010, 07:39 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Virginia Posts: 80 | Quote: Originally Posted by rookie_98 funny you messaged, i was just going to pm you about some intake parts. If you do this I'm fairly positive that you'll regret it someday, like the first time a BMW purist walks up and spits on you at BFest, or the day you try to sell it god forbid. I'm all for freedom of expression but I'm also all for telling people when they are about to make a costly mistake, and you sir are in the latter. | | | 03-01-2010, 07:44 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: el paso Posts: 125 | WOW That was the most polite put down ever ha ha. Thanks guys, all input is appreciated...yes even if it's all negative I guess i'll just keep rolling with the white hood and blue car...or maybe paint the top alpine white and if i don't like the combo paint the whole thing alpine white? | | | 03-01-2010, 08:12 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Why not just paint the hood blue? __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 03-01-2010, 08:24 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Burlington, NJ Posts: 560 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri Why not just paint the hood blue? | +1 __________________ 1996 318ti - 2000 Z3 2.3 - 2012 MINI Cooper Hatchback | | | 03-01-2010, 08:30 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Avondale, Az Posts: 203 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak I don't really like it either, I think when the colors are dark/dark or light/light two-tone looks good, but no when it's dark/light | Unless it's the panda scheme, I think they could look good. OP, I agree with the other guys,it's kind of different in a bad way. May be try Vinyl or something of that nature in case you don't like it down the road. | | | 03-01-2010, 08:42 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Pittsburgh, Pa Posts: 107 | +2 | | | 03-01-2010, 11:19 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | please don't do that again...
