Default ews 2 obd1 issues, any help appreciated

Me again guys. Here's what I've got just to make clear the parts used:

1995 318ti m42 car with obd1 and ews2.
1994 m50tu obd1 non ews red label 413 ecu with Jim conforti chip.

The engine was from a 1994 525i so there is slight differences in engine harness lengths but generally was plug and play, although i had to run my own power to the fuse box and the starter.

I put everything in, didn't mess with ews wires or the small green wire on the body harness. Right after the swap it cranks over great however I get no fuel, pump does not appear to be coming on. So I tried the pin 7 green wire snip on the body harness, still cranks but no fuel. Bypassed the ews by connecting the two thick wires (green/black and black/yellow). Still crank but no fuel. I drove the car into the shop so fuel pump and ews was all working fine before swapping the engine.

Does any one here have any more advise for me? Could the e34 harness possibly have different pinouts to trigger the fuel pump? I'm a little burnt out troubleshooting each day after work and could use some direction.

Thanks in advance, Paul w.

Well, I am relieved and embarrassed....

This friggin weird power block (to the right of the oxygen sensor heater relay arrow) is used on the E34 to power up the DME/Main/Fuel relays... lol

I didnt have a wire for it so I assumed it did not need anything or exist... needless to say I ran 12v to it... and boom car fires up haha.

Thanks for all the responses regardless of my stupidity!
