But instead, I'd paint the roof black to match the hood. | | | 12-31-2009, 06:46 PM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: plymouth Posts: 21 | Quote: Originally Posted by MacUser Nice! What do people think of the black decals on the B-pillars? | | | 01-01-2010, 05:04 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: plymouth Posts: 21 | Black yes A,B,C pillars would be going all black and if that was the case so would the top of the boot , But where the C pillar is , its going to look weird to join it upto the boot , so i might just go for the roof being black . Thanks for the replie , O and the black decal on door pillar can i remove it and would it look better ? cheers | | | 01-01-2010, 05:09 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: plymouth Posts: 21 | new pic New pic | | | 01-01-2010, 07:20 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: VIRGINIA Posts: 324 | Quote: Originally Posted by euro316 the black decal on door pillar can i remove it and would it look better ? cheers | I'm sure it can be removed easily, but I don't what technique people use. One of my tis has the B-pillar decal, the other doesn't. When I get home tomorrow, I can take a photo of both of them in the same shot, from the same angle and that might help you to decide what looks better. I like both, so I can't really decide. | | | 01-01-2010, 08:14 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | if i was u i would just paint the roof and the top of the trunk, not the A and C pillar, and leave the B pillar as is __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 01-01-2010, 08:30 PM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: plymouth Posts: 21 | Quote: Originally Posted by MacUser I'm sure it can be removed easily, but I don't what technique people use. Just the roof though, I'd leave the hood and trunk and pillars the same Boston Green that they are now. In addition to the black roof, I'd have the rear windshield tinted and have the top portion of the front windshield tinted as a "visor". That way I would have a solid strip of black running from the rear windshield all the way to the front windshield. I believe some of the newer M3's sport this type of look. Anyway, that's just my opinion on the whole matter. I do think the red and black looks really good on your car.
