It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

The fuel gage on my ti was dead when i bought it. I had the same problem before on my 318i and was solved by replacing the sending/fuel pump unit. The car has two sendings units, the right one is the sending/fuel pump unit, the left one is just a sending unit. They work togheter to provide the signal to the gage in the instrument cluster.
Knowing this i removed the rear seat lower cushion and discovered that a wire from the right unit conector was broken, fixed it and the gage came back to life. Seems like on a previous cushion removal/installation (maybe for cleaning) the wire was caught between the cushion and the car frame and was damaged because of that.

Take a look at your wiring, it could be damaged without blowing any fuses.
