 New 1995 318ti owner
Hi Folks, Just picked up a 1995 Hellrot Red 318ti, 5 speed, with only 237k on it for $900. Had to spend last weekend outside in 20 degree F weather putting a new fuel pump in it. Like how there is easy access to do this. Drove it home 50 miles, and it ran and handled well. It's in the garage now, looking at a bit of a tune up and going over. The front suspension has already been replaced, sway bar links, tie rods, struts. It also has a new clutch in it. Will be looking for a driver's door panel and seat. I also will have to read about window repair as the front window is not attached to the window holder , the unit goes up and down , the window stays up. Couple small exhaust leaks to fix, and look for some nice tires, has steel rims now. I have owned a 1995 318ic for 7 years and love the car, but not in the winter. So have a bit of experience with these engines. Cheers, will be posting about my progress on the issues mentioned. |
