My wife and I are making a move from Florida to California this spring. Originally we planned to move in a year or two, but nothing is holding us down here, and we want and need the change. Our plan is the live in the Santa Monica area for now. We are going to be driving out there the second to last week of April from the 20th-26th. I plan to leave my E30 there(if anybody knows a good safe place to keep it let me know) for a few weeks, fly back to Florida, pack the rest of our stuff in her ti, then come back in May, as our lease is up in the middle of May. We plan to check out places to live(rent) and do in-person job searching and interviews while we are there for those 6 days. Right now, we are looking for places to stay for those 6 days, and we already booked our return flight from LAX. I can't wait to meet you guys in person, many of whom I've chatted to over the past few years! We both also look forward to living in a more lively area, where there are many BMW enthusiasts around. The median age in our area now is 62, which leaves us with little to do here. We look forward to seeing you all in the coming months and years, going to meets, etc. If any of you will be around, let me know, maybe we can meet up while we are there in April! -Tyler | | | 01-29-2014, 08:42 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | Don't let the crazy's get to you. | | | 01-29-2014, 08:46 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Florida Posts: 64 | Quote: Originally Posted by M-technik-3 Don't let the crazy's get to you. | That's ok, we've lived in Florida our whole lives, we have plenty of crazies here | | | 01-30-2014, 01:22 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Miami, FL Posts: 874 | Congrats man been down here pretty much all my life too and yeah s.fla Is pretty dead when. The best case scenario is that we get a place and I can just keep it there (which is what we did when we moved to this area last year), but that may not happen, so I'm keeping the options open! | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
