Default HID kit on the OEM headlights?

I purchased DEPO 45k headlights but the got smashed. However, the bulbs and everything still worked. Now I'm driving my OEM headlights on my car. I was trying to put the HID bulbs today but it looks complicated. The original ones don't have any cables. The switch on the bulb is the only thing. Any ideas??
I took everything out of my DEPO lights and I have an idea how to do it but it has to be outside the headlight box hanging around. Has anyone done anything like that before? Any help will be good.
Thanks
Ilin ;]

This is a horrible idea. Besides blinding everyone on the road, you run the risk of melting the plastic and catching your car on fire. You need projectors to focus the beam produced by HID's.

I 100% agree with Jess, putting HIDs in reflectors housings is not something you should do. When you have the lights on at night you will be blinding everyone whether it is on low or high beams. Just spend some cash and get new projectors.

Hey just found out 2 days ago that a headlight bulb has blown (low beam) so now it's time to upgrade headlights anyways my car is a 1998 318ti stock headlights. I'm looking to go with the brightest and deepest blue possible without going into that purplish color. Can I achieve this "look" with stock headlights and halogen bulbs?

check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PIAA-...=p4506.c0.m245 - what could I do with these?

these look cool also: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PIAA-...=p4506.c0.m245

or: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PIAA-...=p4506.c0.m245

or what about hid conversion kits. anyone recommend those?
What about headlight assemblies like angel eyes or something idk...price isn't a big deal with all options considered. basically just looking for advice from someone whose been there done that lol. Any help greatly appreciated!

I totally agree with both of you. I was just making sure. haha I was thinking if i could put the projectors of my depo in there but again I would probably not. It's sad because the projectors and bulbs and everything works. the glass and the two glass circles were smashed. Anyway I'm thinking of putting new halogen bulbs because I don't want to spend money right now.

To 318ticalitop5spd:
You should deffinatelly get the headlights that DDMTunning have. They come to about 260 with the shipping and everything and they come with HID already installed. You have to select headlights with HID included($130) and then add the angle eyes you prefer. I love the thin lines personally and the 4500 kit. LOVE IT! I'm upset the old lade smashed them good luck

If it's just the glass lens' that are broken, they sell replacements. Otherwise, if you don't want to waste the wiring and guts, you might try contacting TiFreak on this forum. He just picked up a set of Depos that needs the wiring replaced:

Do you have a pic? Mines are yellow and when behind the wheel I can barely see the light. I think my lights are supposed to be like my high beam, but on low beam hahah.
TiFreak, do they improve the visibility? Is it brighter?

They probably have them in Auto zone or similar shops right? I'm deffinately putting new bulbs because i put the high beams bulbs from my DEPOs on the foglights and it is shining. I'm impressed haha thanks for all your help.
Oh one more thing. Do you guys think that I should put the HIDs on the foglights or will it fit... I read something that if you have to, you can shave a little of the hole so the bulbs go in. It doesnt sound like something you should do, does it?
