Hello
I found your forum when looking for BMW 318I information on the internet and after an e-mail exchange with you moderators I was given permission by 1996_328ti to make this post on your forum.
To give you some background to our business we were founded in 1994 to support the specialist car industry with engine and transmission mounting systems. Our engineering team come from the OEM rubber industry where they have developed products for BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Nissan and Honda.
In early 2011 we began development of a new engine mounting system for the E36/46 platform. We had seen some horrific pictures of failed aftermarket mounts based on urethane and we decided we would look to see if it was possible to develop a durable high quality product for the BMW. The mount we finally released is an evolution of an existing core which has a proven track record in motorsport applications. The main body is a machined aluminium billet. The insulator element is natural rubber not urethane.
This is not a budget product. It has been designed, without compromise to give the best performance and durability of any product on the market. It is ideally suited for high horsepower applications and track day cars which push the OEM system beyond its design capacity. It was originally designed as an upgrade for the M3 but it has been tested successfully on the 318ti. The only down side was a small increase in perceived vibration at idle speed.
If there is inerest here we could look at an introductory discount offer.
